Program Title : Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Description : This program discusses Role and Responsibilities of Nursing Assistant, Residents Rights, Communication and Interpersonal skills, Prevention and Management of Catastrophe and Unusual Occurrences, Weights and Measures, Patient Care Skills, Patient Care Procedures, Vital Signs, Nutrition, Emergency Procedures, Long Term Care Patients,, Diabetes, and Death and Dying. Completion of this program also prepares the student to take the competency examination, which qualifies the candidate for the State (California) certification as a Nurse Assistant to become Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Program Requirements/Admissions: Must be at least 16 years old; Complete admissions process; Pass the entrance exam with 70% or better. Must be able to have an English and Math skills at the 5th grade level or higher; Complete an enrollment and financial agreement; Must possess a current valid Photo ID. In order to take the State exam the candidate must have a Social Security Card/Number or ITIN Number and must completed live scan/fingerprinting criminal background screening; The school reserves the right to reject student if the items listed above are not successfully met. Program Title :Sterile Processing Technician

Description : This course involves a careful examination of the different processes involved in CBSPD. Upon completion of training, students receive a Certificate of Completion and prepare to take the proficiency examination by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD). Some of the areas of study: Roles and Responsibilities; Microbiology; Infection Control; Decontamination; Patient Care Equipment; Preparing and Packaging of Surgical Instruments; Sterilization; Sterile Storage; Distribution. Program Requirements/Admissions: Must be at least 18 years old; Complete admissions process; Complete an enrollment and financial agreement; Pass the entrance exam with 70% or better. Must be able to have an English and Math skills at the 5th grade level or higher; Must possess a current valid Photo ID and Social Security Card or ITIN number; The school reserves the right to reject student if the items listed above are not successfully met. Program Title : Home Health Aide

Description : This program discusses: Introduction of Aides and agency role Interpretation of medical and social needs of the client Personal cares services Nutrition Cleaning and care task in the home Completion of this course will qualify students for the State (California) certification as a Home Health Aide. Must possess a current valid Photo ID, Social Security Card/Number or ITIN Number and must completed live scan/fingerprinting criminal background screening. Students receiving the certificate will have entry skills as a Home Health Aide in the home setting. Total Program Length: 40 hrs.

Program Title :Acute Care Nurse Assistant

Description : This course is designed to prepare CNAs for employment in an acute care facility. The curriculum provides a review of nursing assistant skills with emphasis on specialized acute care areas such as medical, surgical, orthopedic, pediatric, and obstetrical units. This course includes both classroom instruction and clinical practice. At the completion of the course, students will demonstrate knowledge of skills required to assist the nurse in providing nursing care and service to the patient in an acute care setting. Program Requirements/Admissions: Must be at least 18 years old; Complete admissions process; Complete an enrollment and financial agreement; Pass the entrance exam with 70% or better. Description : This course is designed to provide CNAs optimal physical, activities of daily living, range of motion exercises and mobility among others to enhance the client?s/resident?s quality of life. Program Requirements/Admissions: ? Must be at least 18 years old; ? Complete admissions process; ? Complete an enrollment and financial agreement; ? Pass the entrance exam with 70% or better; Must be able to read English at the 5th grade level or higher; Must possess a valid photo ID and Social Security Card or ITIN number; Must pass/have a TB screening performed by physician; Must completed the fingerprinting criminal background screening/live scan; The school reserves the right to reject student if the items listed above are not successfully met.
